Our first sighting of her was on Thanksgiving, and then once more in early morning a couple weeks later. For a few months we didn't see her, but she definitely let her presence be known. Droppings were a sure sign, as well as missing squirrel bodies. (Husband shoots them, they are a nuisance to my feeders).
Two weeks ago we got a great look at her outside of the nursery window. She was literally 5 feet from us.
We've also been hearing her in the brush of our property... Bobcats are typically silent, but are much more vocal during breeding season, which is now. Females have 2-3 babies in April, maybe we'll be so lucky. :)
Today she has been lounging in the yard, steering clear of the back porch area where we take the dogs out. Let's see if you can spot her. :)
Can you see her???
How about now???
Now?? Its the back of her head... notice the little black and white ear.
Ive taken a few more pictures of her, she's moved farther back so the quality isn't so great. These are all taken through a window, plus I have to try and focus the shot through the chicken wire. So again, the quality isn't going to be all that great. Maybe later (with hubby by my side) I'll venture out for a closer look. :)
